Job Description

We are looking for one or more trustees who would be happy to join us on a voluntary basis. It goes without saying that the successful candidate will share our passion for our purpose and vision.

The future

Our 2022 - 2024 aims are to:

  • to increase our geographic reach to support more partnerships;

  • to go beyond our current focus on rough sleeping into addressing homelessness in other groups such as families and younger people;

  • to achieve greater financial stability to ensure we are of benefit in the longer term.

Please read our impact report for key facts and examples of how Street Support Network is making an impact.

About Street Support Network

Street Support Network works online and offline across 30 locations in the UK, connecting and supporting local people and organisations to tackle homelessness. The network is growing and we anticipate having expanded to 32 locations by early 2022.

Our website is a central place for people experiencing homelessness to Find Help, for the general public and business to Give Help and, via our News section, for people to understand more about homelessness, what is being done to address it, and where the challenges and opportunities are.

We also work offline, connecting people to co-produce better solutions, facilitating conversations and co-ordinating action. Everything we do starts by listening to people with personal insight into homelessness and frontline workers. We use research, co-production, human centered design and creative technology to develop tools and improve systems.

Between 2016 and 2018, we took a central role in Manchester, having supported and hosted the Manchester Homelessness Partnership from the start and now sit on the Partnership Driving Group. From 2018, we extended our reach and have built a connected network across the country, tailoring our approach to provide what's needed in a particular area while also providing a proven framework for effective partnership development.

We pride ourselves in working collaboratively with a range of people and organisations. We are agile and fleet of foot and because of this, we’re able to be adaptable and provide solutions that others can’t.

Deadline for application - Sunday 6th of February 2022
