Peabody are looking for an experienced Team Manager to manage our supported housing provision for those facing multiple disadvantage (homelessness, substance misuse, contact with the criminal justice system and mental ill health) in Islington. Overseeing 3 sites totalling 50 units of accommodation you will lead and manage staff to work in a trauma informed way with a focus on enabling positive move on. Services may accommodate couples and those with pets, with each site providing different levels of support from 24/7 to visiting services only.
This new contract offers the opportunity to introduce new ways of working within the organisation and to support your staff team to grow and develop in their roles. You will be expected to lead from the front, using clear communication, effective delegation, and being able to work successfully as part of a wider team as well using your own initiative and making decisions when needed. Problem solving skills are a must, as is the ability to motivate staff and ensure services are covered as required. Ultimately your role will be to ensure that those who come to live in our services receive the right support at the right time and that the outcomes that matter to them are achieved before they move on to live independently.
If you are able to keep track of and use data, build positive working relationships both internally and externally, and have experience of growing a team and delivering positive change then this could be role for you.
The working hours are Monday - Friday with flexibly to work occasional evenings and weekends.
