We have an additional specialist role within our Floating Support Services, to deliver the successful Housing First Model to some of the most vulnerable rough sleepers in the London Borough of Islington.
Housing First is an innovative approach, proven to successfully support people with repeat histories of homelessness and who experience multiple disadvantages, into independent and stable accommodation. Based around a set of core principles, which are designed to achieve optimum outcomes, Housing First is also about doing things differently which requires flexibility and creativity from all agencies involved.
The role will require you to work alongside the Team Manager and the Regional Services Manager, to ensure we successfully support a small case load of clients with complex needs. This tailored support is designed to test the effectiveness of the model for a cohort of clients for whom other solutions have not been effective.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive and adapt at developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you will have a good understanding of the core principles of the Housing First Model and work actively to ensure those principles are at the heart of achieving positive outcomes for our clients. An overall high level of skills and experience, in order to provide an intensive outreach and wraparound service is also required.
