The 999 Club are now recruiting for an experienced Project Worker to deliver an effective and high quality, person centred support services to the users of their Gateway Centre. This position is initially offered on a one-year fixed term contract, with possibility of extension subject to funding.
The 999 Club is a small, community-based charity making a big impact on ending rough sleeping in Lewisham. The charity provides a number of different services to support clients to learn new skills, find work and reconnect with family and friends.
The Project Worker will work alongside volunteers to help provide effective day to day cover in the Gateway Centre, ensuring that service users are clear about services on offer to them at The 999 Club. The Project Worker will carry their own caseload of key clients, carrying out assessments in a timely and comprehensive fashion, encouraging clients to work towards independence. The Project Worker will work alongside the Gateway Centre's Team Leader to train and support volunteers, and will identify tasks and roles that can be undertaken by volunteers.
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience of working in a client centred way with vulnerable adults, and will have significant experience of devising and delivering keywork support and action plans through high quality risk assessments. You will be IT competent, be familiar with the Outcomes Star, and will have the willingness and ability to support and enhance the skills of volunteers. Overall you will be enthusiastic, determined and passionate about helping vulnerable homeless clients get back on track with their lives.
