What your week may look like
- Monday: Start things off by getting your work van fueled for the week ahead and start attending different services to complete identified reactive repairs from the weekend
- Tuesday: Today you’re decorating an empty property, repairing a few doors and getting things ready for our housekeeping team to clean ready for letting.
- Wednesday: Supporting a service complete reactive repairs following room checks
- Thursday: Today you’re on Dutch Farm supporting the team develop a new structure
- Friday: Ending the week, you’re investigating some damp in a property completing remedial works and looking to address the underlying cause of this issue.

The skills we are looking for
-
EXPERIENCE Minimum of three years’ experience working in similar role. Multi trade skill experience which includes carpentry, plumbing, tiling and plastering. Full UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to travel between sites as part of the role.

KNOWLEDGE – Knowledge of the skills, technology and safety procedures required to carry out the full range of maintenance tasks. A strong knowledge of building repairs, working individually or as part of a team effectively and supportively.

COMMUNICATION – Excellent communication, fostering a respectful, collaborative and professional approach to the people who you work alongside always ensuring confidentiality. A high degree of tact and diplomacy when interacting with service users and visitors. Ability to record accurate information relating to completed repairs.

EMPATHY and RESPECT – You’ll be working in people’s homes, so empathy and respect are important. We ask that all team members treat residents and their properties with care, professionalism, and consideration, helping to create positive relationships with everyone we work alongside.

COMMITMENT – The ability to work in an innovative and solutions focused way, including reflecting and learning as you go, and a willingness to be part of an on-call rota for out of hours repairs.

ORGANISATION – Strong time management and the ability to manage to prioritise tasks

COMPUTER LITERACY – You should have basic IT skills, including the ability to use email, complete digital job sheets or maintenance records, and update information using handheld devices or simple systems.
What is a nice to have

Carpentry and joinery, including door repairs to ensure compliance with fire regulations

Electrical awareness or electrical maintenance
