Job Description

As part of a new and exciting national pilot, The 999 Club are now recruiting for a dynamic and deeply passionate Link Worker, to work in partnership with vulnerable homeless individuals across the borough, concentrating on their strengths, assets and aspirations as a means to achieving meaningful independent living.

The 999 Club provides stability, encouragement and expertise to people across South East London who are experiencing homelessness. The charity provides a range of services to support their clients to learn new skills, find work and rebuild positive social networks.

As The 999 Club's new Link Worker you will deliver an effective, high-quality person-centered coaching service to clients, and other homelessness services across South East London. You will work one to one with individuals in settings that encourage integration with mainstream society, concentrating on their strengths, assets and aspirations in order to assist them to move through transitions so that they may take control of their life and contribute to their community. You will work in close partnership with a range of organisations to broker opportunities to nurture and develop the talents and abilities of each individual you coach, and will manage volunteers to assist individuals to build up new and positive friendships and networks.

To apply for this role, you must have significant experience of working in a client-centered way with vulnerable adults presenting significant levels of need and risk. You must have demonstrable experience of case management and partnership working, and will have an integral understanding of the importance of delivering highly personalised support. Overall, you will be innovative, engaging and enthusiastic, and will be deeply committed to building real and trusting relationships in order to help vulnerable individuals achieve their goals.
