Job Description

Oxfordshire Homeless Alliance is looking for an independent chair.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in translating Oxfordshire’s vision and plans for preventing and resolving homelessness and ending rough sleeping into reality. The Chair’s principal task is to lead the Alliance Leadership Team (ALT), whose membership is Local Authority commissioners and CEOs/Senior Managers of member organisations. The OHA began in April 2022 is one of only a few in the UK; we want a chair to ensure and enable the partners to make an effective contribution to the lasting impact and governance of the Alliance. This will be a very interesting role and will be incredibly rewarding if we achieve our outcomes for a very vulnerable group of people.

You will be passionate about this programme and excited about what we can achieve together in Oxfordshire. You will combine knowledge of the homeless and rough sleeping client group, with an independence from any partner agency. You will demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships and partnerships. You will bring strong leadership skills. You will have the time and commitment to chair the project.

Duration: Minimum of 2 years initial commitment

Time commitment : Approximately 4-6 hours per month (There is admin support for meetings in place and a Programme Manager who supports the overall programme)

Payment: Voluntary
