Job Description

We are looking for resilient and passionate people, with the skills to build rapport effectively with clients working to the principles of a Psychologically Informed Environment. 

Turning Tides is a multifunctional, complex needs homelessness organisation that works in Worthing, Adur, Littlehampton, Horsham and Mid Sussex. It has over 120 staff and 250 volunteers. Its mission is to end the need to sleep rough. 

The role is based within our East Grinstead residential service consisting of 3 adjacent properties with 17 single rooms and shared facilities. There is an office on site and a large rear garden. As a single service, it provides low to medium support to residents within the service. 

You will provide support, advice and interventions to residents at the housing project. This is a new role that will provide support to residents in the evenings and at weekends.

You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, be able to plan and manage your own workload, have good IT skills and meet deadlines and targets when required. In return Turning Tides offers a broad package of support for its staff which includes an induction programme; regular supervision; a reflective practice programme; client management; and team meetings. You will also have the opportunity to join other projects and groups within the organisation to be involved in the development of our growing charity.
