Set up by University of Reading students in 1979, Launchpad is now Reading's leading homelessness prevention charity, providing vital information and support for individuals, couples and families who don't have a stable place to live or are at risk of losing their home. At an exciting time of growth, we are looking to recruit a Head of Services to lead our Supported Housing, Floating Support and Work & Life Skills provisions.
As Head of Services, you will be responsible for the leadership and development of all client-facing services, overseeing our diverse teams that deliver high-quality support for vulnerable clients which improves their life chances. You will be proactive in new business development, seeking opportunities for service growth and diversification, writing tender proposals and bidding for grant funding. Reporting to the CEO and acting as an integral part of the Senior Management Team, you will contribute to, and hold collective accountability for the strategic leadership of the charity, leading and inspiring an organisational culture that enables colleagues to achieve quality outcomes and fulfil ambitious organisational objectives.
In this pivotal role your substantial experience in strategically leading complex client services’ provision to vulnerable client groups in the homelessness and/or housing sector will stand you in good stead, as will your demonstrable experience of tender writing and delivery of successful funding bids, joint and partnership working, and developing professional networks and new business opportunities. Your strong knowledge of homelessness, safeguarding and service models for diverse client groups is essential, as is knowledge of health, employment and social care systems.
